Pearl Care
Pearls are organic, which is part of what makes them beautiful. A little care keeps their lustre intact for years.
Everyday wear
- Put your pearls on last — after perfume, hairspray, and moisturiser have fully absorbed.
- Wipe each piece gently with a soft cloth after wearing, removing any trace of skin oils or residue.
- Let pearls sit against bare skin when possible — the natural oils help them hold their shine.
What to avoid
- Chlorine, saltwater, and harsh chemicals. Remove pearls before swimming, showering, or cleaning.
- Ultrasonic and steam cleaners. Warm, soapy water and a soft cloth is all they need.
- Storing pearls alongside harder stones or metals that might scratch them.
Storing your pearls
Each piece arrives in an Ajura Pearls gift box with a certificate of authenticity. Keep them there, or in a soft pouch, away from direct sunlight and dry heat. Pearls like a little humidity — leaving them in a sealed safe for months is harder on them than wearing them often.
